    Nestled on 25 acres in the breathtaking hinterland of Byron Bay, multi award-winning Gaia Retreat & Spa has been supporting retreat guests toward an enhanced state of balance, happiness and well-being since 2005. Gaia Day Spa is central to the “Gaia” experience and we are seeking an experienced Remedial Massage Therapists, Ka Huna Therapists to support our guests. If you hold other qualifications such as Beauty, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, Lymphatic, Ayurveda and Reflexology we invite you to apply as well.

    The successful candidate will hold a Diploma or Certificate, valid working permit or Australian Citizenship and possess the dedication to provide exemplary customer service.

    Working with a team of professional Massage and Beauty Therapists, you will be a key member of the Day Spa team, delivering quality treatments in a professional Day Spa environment.

    Keys skills & attributes:

    • Diploma/ Certificate qualifications
    • Multi-skilled in other modalities
    • Minimum 2 years experience
    • Proficient 5-star service
    • Available to work weekends, school, and public holidays
    • Flexible hours
    • Able to perform Treatments suitable to our guests’ needs and wishes
    • Outstanding attention to detail and client care
    • Ensure rooms and equipment are well maintained and well presented
    • Perform all aspects of Spa Therapy in accordance with our Spa Menu and standards

    Housekeeping Attendant
    Casual/Vacation ~ Onsite at Gaia Retreat & Spa

    This is your opportunity to join our diverse and positive Housekeeping team as a Room Attendant. As a result of immense business growth we have opportunities available for Full Time and Casual team members. As a key team member, you will be proudly representing the retreat with your friendly and professional service. There is also room for growth within the department as we will be looking for natural leaders. It will be important to have a keen eye for detail to ensure all rooms, common areas and day spa are cleaned to our guest’s expectations and standards of the retreat.

    Your role in a nutshell:

    • Cleaning guest rooms and common areas  such as the gym, yoga room and day spa and making them sparkle.
    • Assisting guests with any requests or inquiries they may have.
    • Ensure all Housekeeping pantries and trolleys are fully stocked for the next day.
    • Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to recognize reoccurring cleaning issues.
    • Be competent in the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. You will ensure that appropriate tools/equipment are used during the cleaning processes.
    • Have a good knowledge of hygiene requirements and safe working procedures.
    • Report any damage or maintenance needed for our rooms.
    • Have a good knowledge of retreat facilities to ensure all guest’s requests are met.
    • Be eager to embrace the Gaia service values and bring them to life in your guest interactions
    • Understand guest security and adhere to Retreat procedures.
    • To be successful for this role you will need to have:
    • A positive, genuine, friendly and team focused attitude.
    • Previous cleaning experience in a similar role.
    • Pride in what you do and a key eye for detail.
    • Physically fit and capable of manual handling and lifting.
    • Be open to feedback.
    • Impeccable personal presentation and high standard of grooming.
    • Flexibility to work varied hours as required, including mornings, weekends and public holidays.
