The ultimate indulgence… this Raw Macadamia Caramel Slice will make your mouth water!
Prepare Your Base
Ingredients
- ½ cup desiccated coconut
- ½ cup macadamia nuts, soaked for two to three hours (or overnight), then rinse
- 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 2 tbsp almond butter
Method
- Blend all ingredients in a food processer
- Press mixture into a shallow lined tray (approx. 15x 20cm)
- Place in fridge to set for 30 mins
Prepare Salted Caramel Filling
Ingredients
- 1 cup pitted medjool dates
- 1 tbsp macadamia nut oil
- 2 tbsp macadamia nut butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 large pinches of salt flakes, plus extra to sprinkle
Method
- Blend all ingredients in a food processer or blender
- Spread mixture over base
- Set in fridge for 1 hour
Prepare Your Topping
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
Method
- Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl to combine
- Pour topping over caramel filling and set in fridge for 1 hour
- Use a hot knife to cut slice into desired shape and serve
